| I start in my opponent's closed guard. First I begin by getting a strong upright posture, my base is wide and my hands are gripping my opponent's gi pants. |

| I then place my right knee between my opponent's legs and extend my arms outward while creating downward pressure; this action opens my opponent's guard. |
| Once his guard is open I reach both my arms under his legs. |

| I then clasp my hands together while controlling his legs. |
| Next I drive to the left, I grab his right gi lapel to add stability and pressure. |
|
| I continue pressing to the left until his legs both fall to the side. |
| I then extend my base back and maintain a strong side control. |
